Incorporated in 1981 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the state-owned Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (“KUFPEC”) pursues exploration and production opportunities outside the State of Kuwait.
Today, KUFPEC is active in 9 countries in five continents, and we participate, both as an operating and non-operating partner, in joint ventures with a wide array of international oil and gas companies. We maintain eight regional offices located in Australia, Canada, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Netherlands, Norway and Pakistan.
